Network & Structured Cabling Installation in Vancouver, WA

Cat6 and Cat6A data drops, structured cabling, and rewiring for offices, commercial buildings, new construction, and homes. Every run is terminated, tested, and labeled.

Network Cabling for Businesses and Homes

  • Cat6 and Cat6A data drops
  • Every run tested and labeled
  • New construction and remodels
  • Minimal disruption in occupied spaces
  • Coax for TV and cable internet

Computers, phones, printers, wireless access points, security cameras, and point-of-sale stations all work best on a wired connection. ITN CONNECT installs and upgrades network cabling in Vancouver, Portland, and surrounding communities, from a few new data drops in an occupied office to complete structured cabling for a new building.

A data drop is one cable that runs from a wall jack or device back to your network rack or closet. We plan each run, route and support the cable through walls, ceilings, and conduit, terminate both ends, test it, and give the jack and its patch panel port matching labels. Your IT provider, or whoever works on the network next, can find any cable in seconds.

What’s Included

Network Cabling Services

Cat6 & Cat6A Installation

Cat6 covers most office and home networks. Cat6A adds headroom for 10-gigabit equipment and high-power PoE devices. We recommend the right cable for each project.

Ethernet Data Drops

A single drop or dozens of them for desks, printers, phones, TVs, access points, and cameras. We work in occupied spaces with as little disruption as possible.

Structured Cabling for Offices

Every wall jack runs back to a patch panel in a central rack, so moving a desk or adding a device is a quick patch-cord change.

New Construction & Remodels

Low-voltage rough-in while the walls are open, scheduled with your contractor. We return after drywall and paint to terminate, test, and label.

Network Upgrades & Rewiring

Replacing outdated or damaged cable, tracing unknown runs, and cleaning up wiring left behind by past tenants or previous installers.

Patch Panels, Racks & MDF/IDF

Cables terminated on patch panels and dressed into the rack in your MDF (main network room) or IDF (secondary closet).

Rack & server room services

Termination, Testing & Labeling

Each cable is terminated, tested for correct wiring and continuity, and labeled at both ends with matching numbers.

Coaxial Cable Installation

New RG6 coax runs and cleanup of existing coax for TV and cable internet connections.

Residential Ethernet Wiring

Wired Cat6 to home offices, TVs, game consoles, and access points for faster, steadier connections than Wi-Fi alone.

Every run is tested and labeled, and we walk you through the finished work.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you provide internet service?

No. ITN CONNECT is not an internet service provider (ISP), and we don’t sell internet service or plans. Your internet comes from a provider such as a cable, fiber, or satellite company. We handle everything on your side of the connection: network cabling, Wi-Fi, security cameras, and network equipment.

Do you install Cat6 and Cat6A cable?

Yes, both. Cat6 supports gigabit speeds at the full 100-meter (328-foot) length and 10-gigabit on shorter runs, up to about 55 meters (180 feet). Cat6A supports 10-gigabit at the full 100 meters and handles the heat from high-power PoE devices better, but it is thicker and costs more. Most offices and homes do well with Cat6. Cat6A makes sense for 10-gigabit equipment, newer high-speed access points, or a building you plan to occupy for many years.

How far can an Ethernet cable run?

Up to 100 meters (328 feet), including the short patch cords at each end. Longer distances need a network switch partway, or a fiber link between floors or buildings.

Can you add Ethernet connections to an existing office?

Yes. We fish new cable through walls and drop ceilings, or use surface raceway where walls can’t be opened, and connect it to your existing patch panel or rack.

Do you handle projects with many network drops?

Yes. We handle everything from a single new connection to multi-drop installations for offices, commercial spaces, and new construction. Larger projects are planned and scoped up front so the work fits your timeline.

What is plenum-rated cable, and do I need it?

In many commercial buildings, the space above the drop ceiling is part of the air-return system. Cable in those spaces must be plenum-rated (CMP), which is made to limit flame and smoke. Riser-rated (CMR) cable is used for vertical runs between floors. We confirm what your building requires during the estimate.

Can you organize and label existing network wiring?

Yes. We clean up crowded network closets, trace unknown cable runs, re-terminate where needed, and label jacks and patch panel ports so every cable can be identified.

Do you provide network cabling for new construction?

Yes. We install the low-voltage rough-in during construction, then return to terminate, test, and label once walls and finishes are complete. We coordinate with the general contractor throughout.

Do you test the cables you install?

Yes. Every run is tested after termination to confirm correct wiring and continuity before we sign off on the job.
